Khimsar Fort - Khimsar Heritage Hotels
Khimsar
is steeped in history - founded two thousand and five hundred years ago by the
Jain saint Mahavir, this is the starting point of the Great Indian Desert. The
founder of the castle which was built in mid 15th century, was Prince Karamsi
- son of Rao Jodhaji, the founder of Jodhpur.
Khimsar is 90 kms north - east of Jodhpur and very close to other places of interest like Osian and Nagaur. Presently managed by the Welcome Group of Hotels, Khimsar provides by the visitor with all modern amenities.

Jeep safari, swimming, wildlife safaris and village tours can be arranged on request.
